The National Unity Government (NUG) is committed to systematically monitoring, assessing, and generating information to execute strategic communication and public relations activities efficiently. Under the guidance of the Acting President and Prime Minister, the Strategic Communication and Public Relations Unit (SCPRU) has been instituted, overseen by the NUG Cabinet. SCPRU is entrusted with formulating, coordinating, and implementing strategic communication initiatives to effectively convey core principles of democracy, human rights and inclusiveness to achieve Spring Revolution’s ultimate goal of ending the military dictatorship and building the peaceful federal democratic union. 

The specific objectives are:

1. Improve the capabilities of the democratic leadership to analyze and act in the Information Environment in Myanmar, thus creating effective and impactful messages to promote democracy, human rights, and justice and to liaise with national and international media stakeholders. 
2. Increase the reach and the effectiveness of pro-democracy media outlets in order to an improved capacity to generate, produce and broadcast impactful contents

By aligning these objectives with its purpose, the National Unity Government, through the SCPRU, aims to foster effective communication, transparency, and collaboration to achieve its overarching goals.
