Myanmar's people face an unprecedented humanitarian emergency since the February 2021 military coup. Due to the atrocities committed by the Myanmar military, over 3.5 million individuals have fled their homes, seeking safety in jungles and makeshift shelters, while 19.9 million—more than a third of the population—desperately need humanitarian aid.
Against overwhelming odds, since it was formed, the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management of the National Unity Government has worked tirelessly, supporting 18.2 billion Kyats worth of humanitarian assistance to those most needy people affected by the conflicts.
