Zin Wine, widely regarded as a pillar of the film industry in Myanmar, rarely leaves his home these days.The long-time critic of the military junta, who was jailed twice for his activism, fled to Thailand in 2022.In June, the regime stripped him of his citizenship — leaving him stateless.Without any legal right to stay in Thailand, he now lives in fear of being recognised and reported to the authorities.
