More than 500 Rohingya refugees are feared dead after two overcrowded boats reportedly capsized in the Bay of Bengal off Myanmar’s coast while attempting to reach safety. The vessels, carrying people fleeing conflict and worsening humanitarian conditions in Myanmar’s Rakhine State and refugee camps in Bangladesh, disappeared or sank during dangerous monsoon weather.
